Mark Doye
Mark is a qualified City & Guilds carpenter who has worked on construction sites around the UK for more than 25 years gaining a wealth of in-depth knowledge about the benefits and drawbacks of both traditional and modern building materials.
After experiencing yet another failed timber framed construction joint as a consequence of a coach bolt in 2010, he had plenty of time to work out what was needed to do the best job – but also knew that such a product didn’t exist anywhere in the world.
So together Mark and Dan drew a picture of the ideal product for joining timber to timber or timber to metal and over the past five years they have worked tirelessly to refine the design and the material spec.
Mark has tested the prototypes himself and demonstrated them on building sites around the region feeding user comments back into the design process. He also researched the packaging and despatch side of the business and even built the original website whilst setting up and managing the Joyner Bolt social media accounts.
His ambition now is to see the product range in use, making it easier for carpenters around the world to achieve the Joyner Bolt target of speed and quality.
